Extra-Inning Win by Swift Steeds Over Armadillos
|
The Amarillo Armadillos got a superb performance from pitcher Guess Who. Still, it wasn't enough to beat State College. The Swift Steeds won the game, 7-5. Who threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The third-place Swift Steeds have won 4 straight games.
State College used the timely hitting of Diego Ramieriez to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Swift Steeds on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Ramieriez.
