Martin Excels, But Wheelers Win
|
The Burrow Presented By Frankie's Fun Bites was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Anchorage Wheelers and Amarillo Armadillos.
Amarillo left fielder Ben Martin had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-6, to Anchorage at The Burrow Presented By Frankie's Fun Bites. Martin belted 3 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored three times. Greg Buse got the save, the 5th for him this season.
Hannibal Kingslayer helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 3-0, Wheelers.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Kingslayer.
The win makes Anchorage 16-22.
