Kansas City Beaten, 5-1, by Florida
Florida beat Kansas City on the strength of starting pitcher LaLa Dee's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-1. The win has Florida at 14-25.

Florida used the timely hitting of Jason Mehoff to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Flamingos on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"LaLa is a gamer," said Florida manager .
