Flamingos Send Amarillo Home with 4-3 Loss
Florida first baseman Luca played a vital role in his team's 4-3 conquest of Amarillo. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Florida. The winner was Reid Johnson in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Carroll Niedfeldt took the loss. Florida is now 28-14, while Amarillo is 25-17.

Florida used the timely hitting of Bobby Briggs to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Flamingos on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Florida manager said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
