Dumper Helps Firehawks Beat Flamingos, 10-5
|
A good performance from catcher Ivagotta Dumper helped the California Firehawks defeat the Florida Flamingos, 10-5. Dumper was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Firehawks. Claudio Kilgannon was called on to finish, recording his 7th save. California has an impressive 28-14 record.
Devante Moore, who leads the MiLPBE with a .574 slugging percentage, took Florida hurler Justin Izzo deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 3-run home run put the Firehawks on top, 4-2. In all, Moore had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Moore said.
