Firehawks Get 5-2 Win Versus Florida
|
The California Firehawks defeated the Florida Flamingos, 5-2. Doing his part was right fielder Coleman Carver, who went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. Dr. Hubert Malbec, who is tied for 10th in the MiLPBE in strikeouts with 46, was the winning pitcher. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, with 5 walks and 3 strikeouts. Ima DudeMan earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.
California second baseman Eun Seong contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 37th hit of the season and put the Firehawks ahead, 4-2.
Said losing manager : "Give the Firehawks credit. They played a better game than we did."
