The Ranas grabbed a win, 4-3, at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from State College pitcher Compensatory Draft Pick. Draft Pick went 5.1 innings and allowed no runs. Puerto Rico reliever Kerry Berry picked up the win to move to 1-1. Billy Jones suffered the loss. Puerto Rico, with the win, sits at 9-34.

Had Daddy Blaney not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Blaney hit a 2-run double. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Ranas.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Blaney.
