Flamingos Deal Kingpins 3-2 Defeat
|
The Florida Flamingos picked up a win at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium, taking down the Chicago Kingpins, 3-2. Starting pitcher Wade Cilliams Jr. was a big reason why. Ren Toltraid closed it out for his 7th save. Florida is now 25-18, 3½ games up in the East Division.
Florida used a well-timed hit by Crazy Tomato II to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Flamingos ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Tomato II told the Florida Chronicle.
