Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Ranas
|
Back Stop was a major contributor to the 6-5 Puerto Rico win over Chicago. The Ranas catcher was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Ranas saw their win-loss record go to 15-31. At the same time, the Kingpins fell to 16-30.
Votto Joey was the walk-off hero for Puerto Rico. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Ranas left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place was electric at the end," Joey said.
