Late Heroics Net Firehawks 6-5 Win

The California Firehawks clipped the Kansas City Hepcats, 6-5, in 12 innings at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons. The standout performance belonged to California pitcher and Honolulu, Hawaii, native Ingrid Keelhauler. At 31-16, the Firehawks find themselves in second place in the West Division.
Rafael Furcal Jr played the role of hero for California. In the bottom of the 12th, he launched a 2-run home run off Matt Buster to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was the decisive blow.
"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Keelhauler.
