The home crowd had a good time watching the Chicago Kingpins and Kansas City Hepcats get after it.

The Kansas City Hepcats beat the Chicago Kingpins, 8-1, at Center for Kansas City Kids That Can't Read Good. The win was due in part to first baseman Air Yordong, who was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Christian Summers, the winner, improved to 6-4. He held the Kingpins to 1 run on 5 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 2.

With Kansas City leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Yordong hit a splitter from Avery Time for a solo home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Hepcats ahead, 2-0.

Chicago manager said his team was "out of sync."

Kansas City raised its record to 29-22 with the win.
