Wheelers Deal Armadillos 12-5 Setback

In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Wheelers third baseman Robert Oliver put his stamp on his team's 12-5 win over the Amarillo Armadillos. Oliver was 4 for 6 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Anchorage in the contest. Dee Fernandez Jr. got the win, improving to 6-5. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 2 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 0. Willie MacDougal, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save.
Making an impact for the home team was Ángel de la Fuerte. In the bottom of the first, the 20-year old second baseman had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 1-0, Wheelers.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said de la Fuerte.
Anchorage is now 23-29, while Amarillo is 22-30.
