Swift Steeds Win, 6-4, at Puerto Rico
|
The State College Swift Steeds took Puerto Rico pitcher Ottov Yeoj's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium. The final score had State College getting past the Ranas, 6-4. Yeoj went 5 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 5. Blonde345 was the winner. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 10 hits, with no walks and 2 strikeouts. The third-place Swift Steeds improved to 25-27.
State College used the clutch hitting of D.W. Dogmaple to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Swift Steeds the lead, 6-4. For the game, Dogmaple had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
