Tight Tilt Goes to Flamingos, 4-3
|
The Jose Forty-Three Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Chicago Kingpins and Florida Flamingos.
In a tight contest at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium, the Florida Flamingos edged the Chicago Kingpins by the score of 4-3. Florida second baseman Samir Noff, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Sniper King earned the win for Florida. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 6-3. Barry Balls recorded the save, his 3rd.
Jim Hawkins, the 22-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Hawkins contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Florida up, 4-0.
"I still think this team can play even better," Noff told the Florida News.
The second-place Flamingos lifted their record to 29-23.
