D.W. Dogmaple put on a hitting clinic today as the State College Swift Steeds dumped the Puerto Rico Ranas 7-4 at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium.

The State College first baseman made Puerto Rico defenders earn their pay, lashing Puerto Rico pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Dogmaple said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

D.W. Dogmaple singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jean-Jacques François Jacques-Jean in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
