Starting pitcher Ray Kwaza did his part in helping the Amarillo Armadillos thwart the Florida Flamingos, 5-1. With this game in the books, Amarillo is 23-31, Florida 28-26.
Amarillo used a timely hit from Eric Hustle to get the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Armadillos ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.
In postgame remarks, Kwaza said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
