Good production from left fielder Bobby Cru helped the Kansas City Hepcats topple the Chicago Kingpins, 9-7. Cru slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 for the Hepcats. The Hepcats improved their record to 25-31 with the win over Chicago.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Kif Kroker came to bat in the top of the 13th. Facing Chicago pitcher Hunter Kratky, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Kansas City on top, 8-7.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Kroker.
