Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Amarillo Armadillos and Kansas City Hepcats.
The Amarillo Armadillos earned a close win over the Kansas City Hepcats, thanks in part to Snack Reacher. The Amarillo right-hander, who is tied for 10th in the MiLPBE with a 3.33 ERA, played a key role in the 2-1 victory. In 7.1 innings, Reacher surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run.
Amarillo needed the clutch hitting of Chorizo McTater to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Armadillos on top, 2-1. For the game, McTater had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"We put together a nice win," Reacher said.
Amarillo is now 29-28, while Kansas City is 31-26.
