The Amarillo Armadillos handed the State College Swift Steeds a loss at The Burrow Presented By Frankie's Fun Bites. The final score was 8-5. Beau Mathews made the highlight reel for Amarillo. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 1 run and drove in 1. He also added 2 bases on balls. Hugh Jazz got the win, improving to 6-6. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 4. The win elevated the Armadillos to 30-30.

Marcus Otatop had a big 3-run home run for the Armadillos in the bottom of the second inning. With Amarillo trailing 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a changeup from Bug Chingus, who is tied for 5th in the MiLPBE with a 6.9 K/9 rate, and punished it. The result was his 10th home run of the season, which put the Armadillos on top, 3-2.

"It was a solid team effort," said Otatop after the game.
