The Brew City Bears saddled the Anchorage Wheelers with a loss at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo. The final score was 6-3. Srevor Tory was 4 for 5, including 3 singles and 1 home run. The Brew City first baseman scored 1 run and drove in 2. The Bears improved their record to 33-29 by beating Anchorage.
It could have been a different outcome for Brew City, had it not been for Vumion Stitcherson, the slick-fielding second baseman . Stitcherson contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Brew City up, 3-2.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Tory said.
