Swift Steeds Win at Anchorage, 7-3
The State College Swift Steeds took Anchorage pitcher Doc Holliday's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo. The final score had State College getting past the Wheelers, 7-3. Holliday went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 7. Jackson Ramirez earned the win for State College. He lasted 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 3 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 6-7. State College is now riding a 3-game win streak.

State College used the timely hitting of Romain Gauthier to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Swift Steeds ahead, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"It feels good to get this one," Gauthier told the State College Daily.
