Wheelers Take Nail-Biter Over Bears
The inspired effort of Brew City first baseman Joshua Jay was not enough to prevent a loss, 10-9, to the Anchorage Wheelers. Jay went 2-4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Anchorage reliever Highdrah Coneis picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Paj Bobba was saddled with the loss. The win puts Anchorage at 26-38.

Parker Steele clinched the win with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the tenth. In the game, the Anchorage catcher went 2-5 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Steele, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
