Getting offensive support from Gunnar Skovgaard, the State College Swift Steeds topped the Anchorage Wheelers, 5-1. Skovgaard went 2-3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Swift Steeds . The win for the Swift Steeds lifted their record to 36-28.

Skovgaard had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-2 fastball from Andre Pope, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Swift Steeds a 5-1 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Skovgaard.

State College manager commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
