Harper, now 8-3, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. Louisville leads the East Division by 2 games.
Louisville designated hitter Doug Love helped the Lemurs go up, 4-2, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Love hit a 2-run single off Puerto Rico pitcher Kerr Mitt [BOT].
"My job is to throw quality pitches, go as deep as I can, and give us an opportunity," said Harper.
