The Amarillo Armadillos stopped the Puerto Rico Ranas, 5-3, behind an impressive performance from Kevin McMan. The 21-year old first baseman made life miserable for Puerto Rico pitching. He went 4 for 4 with a double and 3 singles. The Armadillos now have a record of 27-38 with the win over Puerto Rico.
Gary Love dealt the Ranas a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Amarillo leading 2-1, Love, who is tied for 6th in the MiLPBE with a .332 batting average, hit a 0-1 curveball for a 2-run single.
"You need to show up when your number's called," said McMan.
