Floundering Wheelers Lose 7th Straight
Starting pitcher Lucas Trenson pitched well enough to help the Puerto Rico Ranas beat the Anchorage Wheelers, 4-3. Puerto Rico pitcher Harry Berry [BOT] got the win. He's now 1-0. Reidar Trygstrad was tagged with the loss. The Wheelers, now 25-40, have lost 7 in a row.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Abram Johnson? The 24-year old center fielder Johnson stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put Puerto Rico up, 4-3. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.

"We've got to kick it in gear soon," said Anchorage manager .
