Armadillos Win, Delvecchio has 4 hits
The 9-8 Amarillo win over Anchorage was due largely to Tony Delvecchio. The Armadillos second baseman was 4 for 5 with 4 singles and a walk. He scored 3 times. Amarillo reliever Tayalamp Battalemo was the winner. His record is now 4-7. Wham A Geddon took the loss. The win puts Amarillo at 27-39.

Amarillo used the timely hitting of Gary Love to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Armadillos on top, 9-8. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"What a game," said Love. "We needed every last run."
