Big Day for Menard: Swats 5 Hits
|
Rusty Menard did a number on the Swift Steeds in the 8-3 California victory -- and the number was 5. The Firehawks third baseman banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons to lead his club past the State College Swift Steeds .
"I felt good in the batter's box," he said. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done."
Rusty Menard singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
