Anchorage and State College duked it out and the Wheelers came out victorious.

Anchorage Wheelers starter Jiggs Kingman hurled his team past the State College Swift Steeds , 4-1. Kingman, the winner, moves to 5-5. He threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 1 walk. Andre Pope picked up his 4th save of the season.

Dean Ice, who is tied for 8th in the MiLPBE in triples with 2, had a direct impact on the outcome. Ice contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Anchorage up, 2-0.

"Jiggs gets on the mound and he competes and that's what you want," said Anchorage manager .

With the win, Anchorage goes to 29-37, while the Swift Steeds fall to 36-30.
