Hepcats Take Tight Tangle
|
Good production from catcher Kif Kroker helped the Kansas City Hepcats topple the Brew City Bears, 6-5. Kroker went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Hepcats. Brew City has now lost 4 straight.
The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Kansas City trailing 5-4, Kroker jumped on a slider from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Real Games and hit a 2-run home run to right. With one swing, the Hepcats had a walk-off win.
"This place was jumping at the end," Kroker said.
