The Puerto Rico Ranas weathered a fine game by Chicago first baseman JD Pants to upend the Kingpins, 8-5, at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium. Pants was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Jerry Berry [BOT] snagged the win in relief. He goes to 4-2 on the season. Bodhi Grizz suffered the loss. Kerr Mitt [BOT] nailed down the save.

The result might have been different, had it not been for 33-year old catcher Mikey Thomas [BOT]. Thomas [BOT] had a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Ranas ahead, 5-3. For the game, Thomas [BOT] had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
