Behind the hitting of Rex Jordan, the Anchorage Wheelers stopped the State College Swift Steeds , 5-4. Jordan went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Wheelers. Elijah Rosado got the win, improving to 6-7. He worked 6.2 innings, giving up 4 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. Earning his 6th save for Anchorage was George Fantobens.
With Anchorage leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Jordan hit a knuckle curve from Mann Person for a grand slam home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Wheelers ahead, 5-0.
"We squandered some opportunities," said State College manager .
Anchorage now sits at 28-42, while State College falls to 37-33.
