The State College Swift Steeds knocked off the Amarillo Armadillos, 2-0, in Minor League PBE action at The Burrow Presented By Frankie's Fun Bites. State College pitcher and Oslo, Norway, native Derek Kirkland had an outstanding performance. With the win, State College upped its record to 38-33.

State College used the hitting of Willy Whacker to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Swift Steeds on top, 2-0. For the game, Whacker had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
