Kingpins Earn Win with Late Rally
|
The Chicago Kingpins faced a tough opponent in Puerto Rico pitcher Ribbit Ribbit [BOT], but found a way to pull out the victory at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium by a final score of 6-5 in 11 innings. Ribbit [BOT] went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. The win elevated the Kingpins to 43-28.
Troy Monopolitzki played the role of hero for Chicago. In the bottom of the 11th, he launched a solo home run off Kerr Mitt [BOT] to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was the decisive blow.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Monopolitzki.
