Florida Beats Puerto Rico, 6-3
|
The Florida Flamingos trumped the Puerto Rico Ranas, 6-3, at Florida Man Park. Florida second baseman Alan Greer was terrific. He went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Florida now has a record of 39-34 with the win.
There was more than one reason the Flamingos beat the Ranas, but Greer's big at-bat in the bottom of the third was an important factor. He staked his team to a 4-2 lead when he hit a 2-run single.
"We take it day by day here," said Greer, "and today was a good one for us."
