Fox Stretches Hit String to 20 Sunday, July 16th , 2062 Chalk up another one for State College Swift Steeds first baseman Jackson Fox. He now has hit in 20 straight games. Fox went 1-for-3 today's game at Kenny Payne Appreciation Stadium but saw his club defeated 10-2 by the host Louisville Lemurs. "Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Swift Steeds manager said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Jackson Fox singled in the 1st, walked in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. So far this year Fox is hitting .327 with 15 home runs. |
