MiLPBE Honors Mathews, #1 Batter in August Saturday, September 1st , 2074 When Beau Mathews stepped up to the plate in August he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the Minor League PBE Batter of the Month award. The young Amarillo designated hitter posted a .398 batting average with 6 home runs, 22 RBIs and scored 13 runs. Mathews also worked pitchers for 16 walks to post a .500 on-base percentage. This season, Mathews is hitting at a .304 pace with 20 home runs, 80 RBIs and has scored 51 times. |
