Babipperson Picked Best Player Monday, July 8th , 2075 Chicago fans have something to crow about today as Chicago shortstop Dave Babipperson nabbed the Minor League PBE Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Babipperson. He posted a .400 average (4-for-10) this past week with no home runs, 3 RBIs, and 1 run scored. This season, Babipperson is batting .301 with 66 hits, 7 home runs, 26 RBIs, 30 walks, .383 OBP and has scored 38 runs. He has played in 55 games. |
