Greer Belts 5 Hits
Wednesday, September 25th , 2075
It was a sensational day at the plate for Florida Flamingos second baseman Alan Greer, but a tough one for the team, as the Flamingos dropped the contest, 12-11, to the Brew City Bears.
Even with the loss, Greer was pure misery for the Brew City pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-6 in an explosive display of hitting.
"It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said Greer, who is the slick-fielding second baseman .
"Greer really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Bears manager told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Alan Greer singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
So far on the season, Greer is hitting .325 with 14 home runs, 57 RBIs and 64 runs scored. He has 139 hits and played in 108 games.
