Flamingos Blank Brew City, Mixon Winner Thursday, September 26th , 2075 The Brew City Bears manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Florida Flamingos. The Bears were overpowered by Florida starter Stetson Mixon, who hurled his club to victory, 5-0. "It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," said. Over 9 innings, Mixon blanked Brew City on 3 hits with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts. "I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Mixon said. "I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one." Mixon has made 27 starts this season, posting 9 wins and 5 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .266 against him and he has 110 strikeouts in 163.1 innings with a 4.24 ERA.
