Warner Hit Streak Over Tuesday, June 1st , 2077 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Wakko Warner as he saw his 22-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 4 at-bats at the hands of the Florida Flamingos. It wasn't all bad for the 22-year-old shortstop and the Amarillo Armadillos however, as they defeated Florida, 3-2, at Florida Man Park. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Warner laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." This year, Warner is batting .301 with 37 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 17 times and has batted in 12 runs. |
