McTater Hits in 25 Consecutive Games Monday, June 21st , 2077 Chalk up another one for Amarillo Armadillos catcher Chorizo McTater. He now has hit in 25 straight games. McTater went 2-for-4 in today's game at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo but saw his club defeated, 6-4, by the host Anchorage Wheelers. "Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Armadillos manager said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Chorizo McTater walked in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. A look at his current stats shows McTater with a .351 average, 1 home run, 19 RBIs and 29 runs scored. He has played in 48 games. |
