Lincoln-Mercury Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Brew City Wednesday, May 27th , 2071 The Brew City Bears pitching staff did its job today, holding hot-hitting Ford Lincoln-Mercury hitless in 3 at-bats during the club's 5-4 victory over the Kansas City Hepcats at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House. The disappointing performance ended a 24-game hitting streak for the left fielder. "I'm a little down right now," Lincoln-Mercury said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too."
