Scorpions Use Late Rally to Win
|
Cari Price Memorial Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Vancouver Vandals and Death Valley Scorpions.
Death Valley overcame a superior effort from Thor Lore to beat Vancouver, 5-3. The Vancouver pitcher threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball. Death Valley pitcher Always A. Bummus earned the win, hiking his record to 2-2. Lucas Greep suffered the loss.
Death Valley took the lead, 5-3, on Stelle's 19th home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off Vancouver pitcher Lucas Greep in the bottom of the eighth.
"It never gets old," said Stelle. "Winning, that is."
The Scorpions now have a record of 38-40 with the win over Vancouver.
