The Providence Crabs will soon be packing their bags and heading home for the year. The 2070 season won't involve a playoff run for the club, as Providence was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today.
The Crabs have missed the playoffs 24 times in their 54 years as a Pro Baseball Experience franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2067. In the last 10 seasons, the Crabs have made the playoffs 8 times. Providence has won the World Series 2 times in their history.
