Scorpions Get Past New Orleans, 6-5
The Death Valley Scorpions topped the New Orleans Rougarous, 6-5, at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. Death Valley shortstop Y'shtola Rhul was a spark plug for the offense. He went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Always A. Bummus picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ea Nasir suffered the loss. Death Valley, now 4-9, is off to a slow start.

Slime Sluggerton was the walk-off hero for Death Valley. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Scorpions center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We'll build on this win," said Sluggerton.
