Starting pitcher Warren Peace pitched well enough to help the Nashville Stars beat the Death Valley Scorpions, 10-3. Peace, now 7-6, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 12, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The third-place Scorpions have dropped 5 straight games.
