Scorpions Find a Way to Win
In a high-scoring contest between Death Valley and Detroit, right fielder Lawn Gnomes was a difference-maker. Gnomes, who is tied for 3rd in the Champions with a 1.023 OPS, distinguished himself in the 11-10 Death Valley win. He went 3-5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. With the win, Death Valley goes to 57-24, while the Demons fall to 33-48.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With no one out, Gnomes hit a cutter from Shohei Ohtani for a run-scoring single. The Scorpions, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

In postgame remarks, Gnomes simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
