The New Orleans Rougarous weathered an outstanding game by Indianapolis third baseman Brent Goldberg to topple the Apex, 8-7. Goldberg was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. New Orleans reliever Vin Vonvanovitch got the win, raising his record to 4-3. Crabtin Crunch Jr. was tagged with the loss. Ea Nasir earned his 5th save in 8 chances.

AJ Boucher went 1-4 for New Orleans. The two-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 7-7 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Crabtin Crunch Jr.. It was his 34th RBI of the season.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Boucher.

With the win, the Rougarous have a record of 42-39.
