Crabs Win, 7-4, at Boise

Getting offensive support from Taiga Saejima, the Providence Crabs topped the Boise Raptors, 7-4. Saejima went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Crabs. Dr. Hubert Malbec, who is tied for 9th in the Legends in innings pitched with 133.0, was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts. Earning the save was Joe Random. He's now cashed in 8 of 11 save opportunities.
It could have been a different outcome for Providence, had it not been for Boyz II Chess Back Again, the 30-year old center fielder . Back Again contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Providence up, 5-3.
"We've got a great group of guys," Back Again said, "and we're having fun right now."
The Crabs, at 61-23, have a comfortable 14½-game lead in their division.
