Sea Serpents Rally Late to Nip Voyagers
The rain could not keep the home crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.

New York got a decent performance from pitcher Taylor Adkins, but it wasn't enough to beat the Seattle Sea Serpents. Seattle won the Vaughn's House contest, 5-4. Adkins threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The win belonged to Kip Treadwell in relief. His record improves to 10-6. Ransom Jones took the loss for New York.

Seattle used the timely hitting of Bookie Metts to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Sea Serpents on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said New York manager . "The effort was great."

The Sea Serpents lead the Champions Conference West by 2 games.
