The Seattle Sea Serpents wasted an impressive 8.2-inning effort from starter Ivy de Vries, falling, 2-1, to the Providence Crabs at The Aquadome. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Crabs.

Providence used the timely hitting of Seymour Baltz to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Crabs on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Baltz called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
