Shadow Excels, But Sea Serpents Win
Though he had a terrific game, Ethan Shadow could not prevent his team, the Buffalo Surge, from absorbing a loss. Seattle won the game, 10-6. Shadow went 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. Talk O'Bell, who finished 3rd in the Champions in wins with 13 last year, was the winner. He's now 7-9. The loser was Juicy Jumbo. The Seattle win streak is now 3 games.

Willderman Pérez had a big bases-clearing double for the Sea Serpents in the top of the third inning. With Seattle leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a circle change from 31-year old right-handed pitcher Juicy Jumbo and swatted a double to left. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sea Serpents ahead, 6-0.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Buffalo manager . "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
